About Me

My Biography

Lancelot Theobald Jr. is the embodiment of resilience, reinvention, and relentless pursuit of purpose. From the football field to the Broadway stage, from international film sets to groundbreaking community initiatives, his journey is a testament to transforming adversity into artistry and leadership.

Early Life & Athletic Promise

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lancelot displayed natural athletic ability from a young age, quickly moving from Little League to being recruited to Holy Cross High School in Queens, NY. While his high school career brought triumphs, it was also marked by extraordinary challenges: during a recruiting trip to the University of Maine, he survived a deadly plane crash. That same year, he endured a train accident, a car crash, and a near-drowning. Instead of succumbing to despair, Lancelot embraced these trials as divine signs, guiding him toward discovering a greater purpose. His daily commute—two trains and a bus from Brooklyn to Queens—cemented his perseverance and discipline.

College Football Success

Awarded a full athletic scholarship to the University of Maine, Lancelot thrived as a running back for the Maine Black Bears. His freshman year, the team won the Yankee Conference Championship. By his senior year, he was named Most Valuable Offensive Back and received the prestigious Jerry Nason “Comeback Player of the Year” Award from the New England Sports Writing Association. To this day, he proudly wears his championship ring as a reminder of his belief that adversity is only temporary when met with relentless determination.
Pursuit of Professional Football & Entrepreneurship
Though his NFL dreams were met with setbacks, Lancelot continued chasing excellence. He played -pro football in Europe, learning the value of self-belief and total commitment to one’s dreams. After a second NFL attempt, he pivoted into business, co-founding LERA Promotions, a customized sporting apparel company. The company thrived, securing contracts with Rutgers University, Princeton, Fordham, Wagner, Ramapo, and the Catholic High School Football League Playoffs.

Reinvention Through Entertainment

Not content with success in athletics or business, Lancelot shifted his focus to theater and entertainment. Partnering with Richard Willis Jr., he helped -launched Mozell Entertainment Group, a production company later featured on the cover of ENDEE Magazine. This marked the beginning of his second great passion—storytelling through the arts.

On a full dance scholarship at Bernice Johnson’s Dance School in Queens, he trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and African dance, while also pursuing acting. His transition from athlete to performer was nothing short of extraordinary, fusing discipline with creative expression.

Philanthropy & Community Impact

Giving back has always been a core part of Lancelot’s mission. Through public speaking, community outreach, and his Stuck to Unstoppable program, he works directly with underserved communities to help individuals reframe adversity into opportunity. His work focuses on resilience, mindset, and personal accountability, meeting people where they are and helping them see what’s possible beyond their current circumstances.

Lancelot regularly speaks at shelters, schools, and community organizations, including Bethany House, a homeless shelter for women and children, where he shares his story and introduces the Stuck to Unstoppable framework. Whether addressing youth, families, or adults navigating transition, his message is grounded in lived experience and the belief that no one is defined by their lowest moment. His philanthropic work is not performative, it is personal, ongoing, and rooted in service.

Fitness, Athletic Foundation & Performance

Lancelot’s approach to fitness is built on a rare blend of elite athletics, artistic movement, and real-world discipline. His journey began with a full dance scholarship at Bernice Johnson’s Dance School in Queens, where he trained extensively in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and African dance. This artistic foundation gave him a deep understanding of body mechanics, rhythm, and storytelling through movement, elements that continue to shape his work today.

He later earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Maine, where he excelled as a running back for the Maine Black Bears. During his tenure, the team captured the Yankee Conference Championship, and by his senior year, Lancelot was named Most Valuable Offensive Back and received the Jerry Nason “Comeback Player of the Year” Award from the New England Sports Writing Association.

After college, he pursued professional football in Europe and later transitioned into entrepreneurship, co-founding LERA Promotions, a successful customized sporting apparel company that partnered with major universities and athletic organizations. Today, fitness remains both a livelihood and a philosophy, rooted in discipline, adaptability, and the belief that physical strength is a gateway to mental resilience and long-term success.
